St. Therese Lisieux Canvas Restoration of French Catholic Saint

Saint Thérèse of Lisieux, born Marie Françoise-Thérèse Martin, also known as Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face, O.C.D., was a French Catholic Discalced Carmelite nun who is widely venerated in modern times. Saint Thérèse entered the convent at the age of 15 and died in 1897 at the age of 24. She was canonized in 1925. On October 19, 1997, Pope John Paul II proclaimed her to be a Doctor of the Church. Her parents, Louis and Zélie were beatified in 2008.
